Why a thistle?

We chose the humble thistle as our symbol for a few reasons...

Thistles are found in the wild places, the forgotten places. It is there we believe some of the best ideas are taking root and becoming stronger. 

Thistles are tenacious. And sharp. They don't back down, and they don't give up - as most gardeners and farmers can attest!
